Today crews from Northwestern Energy worked to remove debris along the side of Bozeman Creek along south Wallace avenue, right by the Northwestern Energy substation. The goal of the project is to move this debris from the bank, preventing it from going into Bozeman Creek. So far more than 30 cubic yards of debris has been collected.
"We have a pile of concrete, a pile of asphalt, some wood fragments from understory and shrubbery, and some metal farm implements, that probably date back to the middle 1800's," said Michael Larson, describing the debris. "I think it's outstanding that they're going ahead and doing it without anybody putting pressure on them," said KC Harvey.
Larson says it will take about 4 days of work to cleanup this section along Bozeman Creek.
