Residents of Belgrade received notice that the city's water system recently violated a drinking water standard.
City officials say that the incident is not an emergency, that residents do not need to boil their water or take other corrective actions. If you do have specific health concerns, you should contact your healthcare provider they say.
People with severely compromised immune systems, infants and some elderly may be at increased risk.
The city says they are flushing the water system and investigating any possible sources of contamination. According to a notice, the incident occurred from samples taken this month.
