BUTTE - A former Community Counseling and Corrections Services Corporation employee facing multiple rape charges is asking that several items be dismissed before entering a jury trial.
Tisha Brunell faces four counts of felony sexual intercourse without consent with a START facility inmate. She has filed a motion to dismiss counts 5 through 10 for failure to state probable cause.
In response the Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Attorney's Office states that items, like phone calls between the defendant and inmates at the START facility, should be an issue for a jury to consider at a trial.
Brunell is also asking that state prosecutors will not be allowed to discuss her resignation of employment and buying marijuana.
Her jury trial is scheduled to start on Aug. 26.
