BOZEMAN - At the earliest point in its history, Montana State Athletics and the Bobcat Athletic Ticket Office announced Friday that it has sold out of season tickets for the 2013 football season.
MSU Director of Athletics Peter Fields indicated that season tickets account for more than 10,000 of the 17,777 seats in Bobcat Stadium. That figure is the most in school history, and August 9 is easily the earliest the MSU football program has reached that point.
"The anticipation throughout Montana for Bobcat Football in 2013 is unprecedented," Fields said, "and that has built throughout the summer. Bobcat fans have responded to this program's success on the field and in the classroom and community, and out season ticket sales certainly indicate that."
Tickets remain in varying quantities for MSU's first five home games. The Bobcats open 2013 on Thursday, August 29, hosting FCS foe Monmouth in the annual Gold Rush game at 7:05 pm.
