Butte woman pleads not guilty to stabbing estranged boyfriend

BUTTE - A Butte woman accused of stabbing her estranged boyfriend appeared in court today.

Tara O'Donnell, 27, appeared in Silver Bow County District Court this morning where she pleaded not guilty to multiple felony charges. O'Donnell is charged with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault.

On Oct.25, O'Donnell reportedly stabbed her estranged boyfriend in the upper back with a large butcher knife inside their home. That man was hospitalized in the intensive care unit for his injuries.

If convicted, O'Donnell could face up to 40 years in prison.

She is being held at the Silver Bow Detention Center on $75,000 bond.
