HELENA - A Butte woman has claimed a $10,000 Powerball prize.

Corrine Reopelle purchased the winning ticket at East Gate IGA in Butte.

Corrine plays birthdays for her numbers but doesn't usually pick up Powerball tickets. This time she did, according to a press release from the Montana Lottery.

"Who would have thought the birthday numbers would be lucky and get hit on the Powerball ticket?" she said in the release.

The drawing was held on Saturday, Feb. 9.

She plans to donate some of the money to charity, pay medical bills and put the rest in the bank for a rainy day.

"And buy all the birdseed I want. I love feeding birds," she added with a laugh.
