BUTTE-The family that fell victim to an armed robbery and shooting is planning on making security upgrades to the home and business.

About two months ago Mining City Taxi owner and shooting victim's mother Mary Garcia installed security cameras to her home that is also the base location for her business.
She says had a feeling something was going to happen and decided it was time to have them installed.

Now she is planning on creating more separation between possible customers and her home.
A buzz-in sound system could be installed, along with a more advanced security system.

Sheriff Ed Lester says in an armed robbery incident like this, it's possible the suspect has previously come into contact with the location, business or people.

"It's not uncommon for people who are going to commit a robbery to be in the area several times before that so they can get an idea of who they might encounter. Anybody whose seen anybody suspicious, especially in that area, we would encourage them to call us," says Lester.

Butte Silver Bow Law Enforcement is busy investigating the shooting incident.
The suspect still remains at large.

If you have any information please call law enforcement at 497-1120.
