BUTTE - The Butte Rescue Mission is gearing up for its annual Thanksgiving dinner for the community.
Anyone can attend the city wide Thanksgiving dinner at the Maroon Activity Center on Wednesday.
It will be from 12 to 5 p.m. Last year up to 2,000 people attended.
Then, on Thanksgiving Day, a dinner will be at the Rescue Mission, located at 1204 East Second Street in Butte. That dinner is also open to anyone and from 12 to 5 p.m.
"Just so nobody has to go by themselves on Thanksgiving or doesn't have the ability to have a meal. They can have that fellowship and that time with somebody and just kind of know that somebody cares about them," Butte Rescue Mission Executive Director Rachel Freeman said.
The Butte Rescue Mission is asking for any traditional Thanksgiving dinner item donations.
