Butte production company to host New Years party-electronic music gaining appreciation

A Butte production company is hosting their first New Year's Eve party.

S. H. G. F. Productions is renting a space inside the Phoenix building on Park Street, according to Matt Boyle, co-owner of S.H.G.F. Productions. The company primarily features electronic music performances. On Monday, doors will open at 9p.m. to 2 a.m. This will be the company tenth show in Butte, according to Boyle.

S.H. G. F. Productions has been in operation for one year. Electronic music has slowly gained more appreciation in Butte and the surrounding area, according to Boyle. People travel from Bozeman, Helena and Missoula to attend the shows.

"As far as talking with other production companies they are really happy to see what we are doing in Butte because they've always thought there is no use in doing a show here in Butte themselves," Boyle said, "Seeing that we do it they know that they can now market their shows here and vice versa."

Tickets will be $7 at the door for people 21 and older and $10 for people under 21. There will be a special celebration at midnight. S.H.G.F. Productions will be giving away free prizes.
