BUTTE - Butte police are asking for the public's help identifying a person or persons who robbed two Butte casinos during the last few days.
The robberies occurred on Saturday, May 18 and the Monday, May 20.
On May 18, the Butte police responded to the Magic Diamond Casino 2001 Dewey Blvd. at around 3:37 a.m. where two males reportedly entered the casino and demanded that the attendant hand over their money apron. After the apron was handed over, the suspects fled the casino with an undetermined amount of cash, according to police.
Then, at around 3:56 a.m. Monday, Butte police received a call of a robbery at Montana Lil's Casino at 1370 Harrison Ave. It was reported that a male entered the casino and demanded that the attendant give him their money apron. The money apron was taken and the suspect fled out the south doors of the casino with an undisclosed amount of money
In the first incident, on May 18, the suspects were described as younger males, wearing dark hoodies, jeans and some type of mask over their faces. The suspects were approximately 5' 5" with slender builds.
In the second robbery on May 20, the suspect is described as a white male, about 5'9"tall with a slender build, wearing a dark hooded sweat shirt, with a dark colored ball cap, The suspect had some type of mask covering his face from the nose down. This subject was wearing dark jeans.
