The Butte Dairy Queen on Harrison Avenue appears to be a total loss after an overnight fire ripped through the building.
Opened in the 1940s, it is said to be the first Dairy Queen in Montana. The business is owned by Tony King. He has owned it for 12 years.
Fire also reportedly damaged the Acoma Restaurant and Lounge building on East Broadway Street overnight.
Reporter Laurel Staples is at Dairy Queen this morning and is heading to the Acoma. We will provide more details as they become available.
