BUTTE - A Butte-Silver Bow Animal Control Officer was let go from his job after being charged with second offense DUI.
Animal Control Officer Charles Dick was arrested for misdemeanor DUI on March 19.
Chief Executive Matt Vincent sent out a press release Monday evening, saying the additional details about Dick's dismissal are classified because it is a personnel matter.
At around 1:15 p.m. on March 19, a report was called into law enforcement about an animal control vehicle striking a fence at 6195 Albany Avenue. Law enforcement found the animal control officer at the Animal Control office off Centennial Drive where he was cited for misdemeanor driving under the influence.
Dick refused a breathalyzer test but a blood draw test was taken and results have not yet been issued.
He is charged with second offense misdeameanor DUI and misdemeanor failure to remain at an accident scene.
