BUTTE- Butte's air quality has improved to Good, but that may change by this weekend.
Butte was in an air quality alert stage until 1am Thursday.
The Butte Silver Bow Health Department Environmental Monitoring Director says upper level winds picked up and carried out the stagnant air.
The forecast for Saturday shows that more stagnant air could move in, but the air quality shouldn't be as bad as we've seen.
For the next 24 hours the air will remain in the good health effects category.
