HELENA - The latest results show Steve Bullock is still leading in the race to be Montana's next governor.

Bullock has 215,842 votes and Rick Hill has 207,242 votes with 79% of precincts fully reporting in Montana, a 47% to 45% lead.

Current Governor Brian Schweitzer (D) is termed out and Attorney General Steve Bullock (D) and former Congressman Rick Hill (R) are in a tight race to fill that seat.

Bullock's run for the governor's office means his seat at the attorney general's office open.

Republican Tim Fox and Democrat Pam Bucy have both run active campaigns to become the state's next chief law enforcement officer.
