SHEPHERD, MT - A 44-year old man died Thursday morning after getting attacked and gored by a bull.
The Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office and the Shepherd Fire Department responded after receiving the call around 9 am.
Lt. Kent O'Donnell says when emergency crews arrived a bull was standing over the victim. O'Donnell says a Shepherd firefighter, who also works for the county, was on a nearby job with a road grader. He used the road grader to separate the bull from the victim and move the animal to an adjoining pasture.
Paramedics offered medical assistance but the man had already died.
The Sheriff's Office determined the bull deliberately gored the man. Autopsy results are expected on Wednesday.
Lt. O'Donnell says the bull appears to be a cross between an African Watusi and Longhorn.
