A school in Browning was placed in lock-down on Thursday afternoon after students reported seeing a man with a mask and a weapon in the elementary school.

Assistant superintendent Gloria Wilkinson tells us that the school was placed in lock-down at around 2pm.

Students and staff from the elementary school were transported to Browning High School.

No person with a mask or weapon was ever located, and a review of surveillance video showed no person with a mask or weapon was ever in the building.

All students and staff are reported safe.

The lock-down was lifted at around 3:30 pm.

School officials will send a message to all parents, students, and staff letting them know the schools are safe and there was no threat.
