Bridger Bowl opens Friday

BOZEMAN - Bridger Bowl Ski Area is opening Friday, Dec. 7.

Since last Thursday, the ski area has received 9 inches of snow and is reporting 23 inches of settled snow depth at the mid-mountain Alpine weather station, according to a news release.

"The snow has resulted in a solid base on the upper mountains; however, early season conditions and a thin snow pack exist, so skiing and riding with caution is recommended," the release states.

The ski area will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All lifts are scheduled to operate, except for the Virginia City and Schlasman's chair lifts.
