One of the victims of last Friday's early morning shooting in Bozeman, has now been identified.
According to confirmation received from several sources, the victim was 24-year-old Larry Clayton.
Clayton was one of three people who were shot in an early morning altercation on Friday. He passed away over the weekend at a Seattle hospital.
According to the King County Washington Coroner, Clayton died of gunshot wounds to the lower extremities at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Bozeman police say one of the victims was shot in the abdomen.
On Friday morning, police say an argument during a party escalated after which the accused, 25-year-old Cody Little, went back to his nearby apartment and returned with a 20 gauge shotgun. That's when he shot the three victims according to police.
Little was arrested after being detained by a man he tried to shoot.
According to court documents, when Little pulled the trigger to shoot a fourth person, the shotgun was empty.
Right now, Little is charged with two counts of deliberate attempted homicide and one count of assault with a weapon.
County Attorney Marty Lambert said Tuesday afternoon that he plans to change one of the attempted deliberate homicide charges to deliberate homicide as early as Wednesday afternoon.
Last Friday, Bozeman Police Chief Ron Price said doctors were working to save one of the victims' legs. His name has not been released but it is known that he's in fair condition at Billings Clinic.
