BOZEMAN - In light of the horrific school shooting Friday in Connectucut, Bozeman police are stepping patrols at local schools.

The officers are increasing foot patrols inside the school, visiting with teachers and administrators. They are also taking time to learn the layout of the schools.

Bozeman School Superintendent Rob Watson met with the principals of the school on Sunday along with police. As a group, they decided the patrols were a good idea.

In addition, the district has posted a guide for parents to help talk with their children about the tragedy. To find it click here.
