BOZEMAN - Is Bozeman the best active town? Outside Magazine wants to know.
Bozeman is in the running for the magazine's Best Towns 2013 contest.
The magazine's website profiles Bozeman, citing the town's proximity to Bridger Bowl, cycling in Hyalite and hangouts like the Molly Brown as some of its features.
"There's a reason Bozeman's cowboys are now outnumbered by the collegiate crowd-there are few better places to enjoy the outdoors. Whether skiing Bridger and Big Sky resorts, fishing the first-rate Madison or Yellowstone rivers, or taking long runs in the Tobacco Root mountains, Bozeman's easy access to is hard to beat. Friendly neighbors and small-town hangouts like the Molly Brown Bar (it has the cheapest beer and best game of pool in town) lend a college town feel to the fastest growing county in the state," the website states.
Bozeman is up against San Diego, CA; Boston, MA; Oklahoma City, OK; Spokane, WA; Greenville, SC; Honolulu, HI; Park City, UT; Carbondale, CO and Waitsfield, VT for the honor.
