It's an award given to only 100 other high-schoolers in the entire United States this year, and one top-notch student in our community is a recipient.

Bozeman High Senior Tom Wu is one of 101 winners of 2012's Siemens Award. Given to the best of the best AP, or Advanced Placement students, winners must score a five, which is the top score for AP tests, on as many of the science and math courses as possible.

Each state has potentially two winners, one boy and one girl.

All winners at the state level receive a $2,000 college scholarship, with national winners receiving $5,000.
