The Bozeman Daily Chronicle newspaper is eliminating its Monday edition.
Bozeman Daily Chronicle publisher Stephanie Pressly said, "Our reader interest is at its lowest this day of the week. Consequently, businesses prefer to advertise in other editions in order to reach the largest audience. Certainly you've noticed that the size of our Monday paper - driven by its amount of ads - is not, shall we say, particularly substantial."
Pressly notes that other newspapers have made similar decisions.
She says that beginning on Sunday, October 6, the Chronicle will add a section to the paper called "Monday on Sunday" which will contain Monday's comics, Monday's TV listings, and columns such as Dear Abby.
Other Monday features such as "Everyday People" and "What's Up With That" will move to other days of the week.
