On Monday night, the Bozeman City Commission will consider moving ahead with plans to sell North Park, formerly known as Mandeville Farm, the 85 acres of farmland which is west of North 7th Avenue off the Frontage road.
The City bought the property for $3,000,000 in 2003 to use as a garbage transfer station but those plans fell through.
In January, commissioners adopted a plan to use the site as an industrial park for businesses with high growth potential to manufacture goods.
It is the largest industrial property within city limits and is already zoned for manufacturing.
The City's economic development director said selling North Park has benefits.
"If you have locations for businesses to come and grow that have an infrastructure and right development pattern, that is job creation," Brit Fontenot, Bozeman's Economic Development Director, said.
If commissioners decide to sell North Park, the next step would be hiring a real estate agent and negotiating a sale agreement.
