After a few ups and downs Springhill Church finally breaks ground on its new building on Cottonwood Road near the Petra Academy.

Construction of the new facility was in limbo as the city was asking the church to build a road that the church could not afford. But, city commissioners recently decided to stall the road easment until they see if the road is needed in future development.

Pastor B.J Otey has worked for this day for a long time. He was happy to see so many people at Sunday's groundbreaking "...didn't expect this many people to brave the snow, but I think a few hundred people decided to play it warm and just pray for us from home" said Otey.
