BUTTE - You can help publish a book about growing up in Butte from 1900-1960.
The Montana Historical Society Press has written many books about Montana history.
Now the organization is trying to publish "Mining Childhood: Growing Up in Butte from 1900-1960.
The book explains the role that Butte children played during the copper mining days.
MHS has raised $30,000 to publish the book and needs $5,000 to complete publishing. The organization is using a new funding platform called Kickstarter to raise the last portion of money.
"This is a look at the kids and how they grew up in Butte and the experiences they went through and why Butte is such a rugged and powerful city today with a big heart," says Public Information Officer Tom Cook.
If you would like to donate money to publish the book call 406.444.1645. You can also visit the Kickstarter website at http://www.kickstarter.com.
