WEST GLACIER - The railroad opened back up early Saturday in West Glacier after four locomotives and a freight car derailed early Friday morning.

Maintenance crews worked overnight to get the cars back on track, and railway was opened up at 2:45 a.m.

BNSF Spokesman Gus Melonas says the cause of the derailment is still under investigation.

No one was injured from the accident, but Amtrak's Empire Builder passenger train was delayed and buses transported passengers from Whitefish to Shelby.
