Harold Blalock, Jr., of Great Falls could spend the rest of his life in prison after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a child.
In court on Tuesday, Blalock, withdrew his previous plea of not guilty.
Blalock, 38, was arrested in February 2012 after he allegedly admitted to raping an 8-year-old victim.
Police say Blalock admitted to having sexual intercourse with the victim on several occasions.
During his interview in 2012, Blalock said to police, "I did it. I'm terribly embarrassed. I know it was wrong."
The defense is asking for 80 years in prison and another 20 years suspended.
Blalock wouldn't be eligible for parole for 25 years.
Sentencing is scheduled for April.
