BILLINGS- A woman was hit by a car while walking on a sidewalk Saturday morning in downtown Billings.
According to the Billings Police Department, officers responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle on North 27th Street and 6th Avenue North shortly before 7 a.m. on Saturday.
When officers arrived at that location they determined that a 16-year-old boy driving a 1999 Chevy Blazer had fallen asleep while driving and drifted onto the sidewalk before striking a pedestrian at that intersection.
Sergeant Ronda Fox said in a release that the victim did not appear to have sustained life threatening injuries.
The 16-year-old driver was cited for careless driving and
driving with an expired registration.
