BILLINGS- A young Billings man faces two decades at the Montana State Prison following his sentencing in the hit-and-run death of a 40-year-old motorcyclist in Laurel last summer.

Judge G.Todd Baugh sentenced Tanner Reichert in District Court on Friday to a 20-year sentence for the negligent homicide of 40-year-old Daniel Oltrogge on June 8th of 2012.

Four of those years were suspended.

Reichert changed his plea to guilty on that charge in January after admitting that he was drunk when he struck and killed Oltrogge.

Reichert also pled guilty to failing to remain at the scene of the crash-for which Baugh sentenced Reichert to an additional five years at the Montana State Prison with one of those suspended.

Altogether, Reichert could possibly serve 20-years in prison.

Reichert's first opportunity at parole will come up in five years.
