Beaverhead County man dies in early morning car crash

DILLON - A Beaverhead County man died after his vehicle slammed into a large fence post near Dillon.
The elderly male was driving his Chevy Impala westbound on the south interchange overpass when he hit an ice patch.
Montana Highway Patrol says he slid into a large fence post and died at the scene sometime between 2:30 to 6 this morning. He was not wearing a seat belt and speed could be a factor in the crash, according to MHP.
