MISSOULA - A transient accused of hitting another transient with a steel pipe over a pork chop is facing a felony assault charge.
Justin Dwayne King is accused of fighting with another transient who was camping under the Reserve Street Bridge, Thursday night.
King's girlfriend told police he repeatedly hit the man over the head numerous times with a two-feet long metal square rod.
The transient was taken to the hospital with severe head injuries.
King is charged with felony assault with a weapon and assault, which is a misdemeanor.
His bail is set at $50,000.
