Butte and Anaconda authorities continue their combined effort to search for a missing woman.
Tuesday was the second day authorities searched the Butte-Silver Bow landfill for 41-year-old Tammy Salle. Salle is the Anaconda woman who has been missing for more than a month.
On Monday 20 officers from Butte and Anaconda searched the land-fill. Five officers helped with the search on Tuesday.
Authorities have closed a section of the landfill where Anaconda waste is dumped, according to Anaconda Police Chief Tim Barkell. The area is about the size of two football fields and is eight layers deep. Barkell said they have made it through about 48 tons of waste.
The search will continue through this week.
