APEC delegates, along with Sen. Max Baucus and U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke make a stop at Bozeman's West Paw Design.
The head of the company, Spencer Williams, showed off West Paw's facility where they manufacture everything from pet toys to beds.
Locke and Baucus learned about the recycled materials used in the products and how the government has helped West Paw go global.
"Commerce Department has helped West Paw find distributors and buyers and customers around the world. West Paw exports to 28 countries in the world. They used our services to help them export more, the more they export the more they produce, and that means more jobs," said Locke.
Delegates also heard the importance of medium and small companies, like West Paw to the national economy.
