BOZEMAN - Allegiant Air has stopped offering direct service to Oakland from Bozeman.
Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport Director Brian Sprenger said the airline suspended the flight indefinitely on Jan. 14 due to underperformance.
Allegiant also stopped offering a direct flight to Oakland from Billings. It will continue to offer the service in Missoula, Kalispell and Idaho Falls, Idaho.
United Airlines offers a flight from Bozeman to San Francisco nine months out of the year and Sprenger said that competition may have caused Allegiant's numbers to be lower than expected.
