BOZEMAN - Law enforcement converged on Sacajawea Middle School Tuesday afternoon for a report of a shooter at the school.
The call was part of a training exercise, allowing officers to get real training in a simulated setting.
Officers from the Bozeman Police Department, Gallatin County Sheriff's Office and Gallatin County Emergency Management responded.
The exercise involved a scenario in which a "shooter" went into the school and injured 11 people.
On a typical day there would be 600-650 students in the school and dozens of staff members, school officials said. There would be about 25 students in the cafeteria where the fake shooting took place.
The call came in for the drill at around 12:45 p.m.
