BILLINGS - Stillwater County law enforcement believes an Absarokee man found dead in an alley behind his home on Sunday morning may have been murdered.
Stillwater County Sheriff Cliff Brophy released the name of the victim Monday, identifying the man as 27-year-old Absarokee resident Forest Dana.
Brophy also released that an autopsy conducted on Monday revealed that Dana died of blunt force trauma.
The Sheriff's Office and agents from the Montana Department of Criminal Investigation remained in Absarokee on Monday as the investigation was re-classified as a homicide.
Law enforcement is asking that anyone with firsthand and pertinent information concerning the incident call the Stillwater County Sheriff's Office at 406-322-5326.
