Chris Ackerman has been working as an election officials for several years.
He says he has never seen so many people voting at the polls.
"This is absolutely the largest turnout I've ever seen. I think there's an enormous amount at stake and everybody knows that, everybody's out here to do their right and vote," says Ackerman.
People of all ages went to the polls at the Butte Civic Center Tuesday.
Ackerman says he saw the largest number of young people vote in this election.

"It's probably evenly split but in past elections there's been nobody under 30. It's just a phenomenal turn around."
