A University of Great Falls cheerleader who lost everything in Friday's fire in Black Eagle is receiving more support from the community than she ever imagined.
Freshman Breann Knight was cheerleading last week when she got a call from her mother that her home was on fire.
The fire didn't damage too much of the home but destroyed everything in the garage, where she lived.
Knight said, "At first it was 'Oh my gosh, I don't have anything'. Then it was 'Oh my gosh, I don't have a home'. And now it's like everybody's helping us out and what a huge blessing it is."
One of the big blessings she's received was her own dorm room, courtesy of UGF. Twila Croft, a spokeswoman for UGF, said, "We take care of our own, but the students really do come first."
The UGF Administration Office has also received four large bags of clothes to be donated to Breann as well as gift cards and financial donations.
A laptop computer and yearbooks from her high school days were also donated.
Breann's family is still staying in a motel while they clean out the burned Black Eagle home.
A list of items that the family needs is at Wal-Mart. Anyone who would like to help can also contact the Knight family at 406-590-3277.
