There are several Veteran's Day events planned around the Great Falls area today in tribute to those who have fought and served the country.

Coming up at 11:00, the Veterans Memorial Ceremony will honor 130 new veterans whose names have been added to the wall, and there will be a special focus on women in the military.

Then at 1:00 p.m., the University of Great Falls is hosting a Veteran's Day celebration including a Catholic Mass.

Montana's senior U.S. Senator Max Baucus will host a veterans roundtable at the Great Falls City Commission chambers at 1:30.

There are also veterans appreciation meals being held at various locations, and one of those is for breakfast and lunch at Procraft on Central Avenue.

Finally, local elementary schools in Belt and Choteau will have special programs on Thursday afternoon.
