State and local health officials have launched a hotline to better help the public keep up with changes regarding the H1N1 flu virus.
The telephone hotline will use technology to locate where the caller is when they call and then direct the person to local county information.
The hotline includes dates, times and locations for upcoming H1N1 vaccination clinics as well as the targeted population eligible to receive the vaccine at the time.
Kate Marone of the City-County Health Department said, "I want to remind everyone that this is what we're doing in Cascade County, but every county is getting vaccine and so you want to talk to your local county health department to see what they're doing, because they're all pushing it out in different ways and to call that hotline."
The City-County Health Department is also hoping to launch a new website by early next week, to give the public quick access to the same information online.
The telephone hotline is officially up and running as of this week and can be reached at 877-701-8555.
