The identity of a Billings man killed in a car crash Monday night has been released.
Robert Julius Keller, 40, was driving his car down Highway 312 near Shepherd, when he crashed his vehicle into a truck.
According to Montana Highway Patrol, the truck was waiting for clear traffic to turn left onto a private drive, when Keller, who was heading westbound, rear-ended the truck.
Authorities say Keller was pronounced dead at the scene.
Yellowstone County Coroner, Lt. Bill Jones, confirms Keller died from blunt force trauma injuries sustained during the wreck.
It's unclear at this time if Keller was wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the truck, also a 40-year-old Billings man, was not injured and was wearing a seat belt.
The accident happened just before 8:30 p.m. Monday.
Authorities say that alcohol and speed were not factors in the crash.
