One foot is all it took to cause an accident involving farm equipment and an overpass early this evening in Ulm.

A Montana Highway Patrol Trooper says the driver was attempting to go under the I-15 overpass, but the heavy cultivator was a little too tall for the overpass.

The trooper says the machinery was about 15 feet high - but the bridge clearance was only 14 feet. The trooper noted that the miscalculation will mean the driver will be receiving a citation.

The beams of the deck were damaged but are still structurally sound.

We're told the Montana Department of Transportation will be out tomorrow to do minor repairs.
