Western Montanans woke up to record low temps on Saturday morning, but that didn't stop some hardy souls from heading out to Downtown Missoula for the annual UM Homecoming parade.
The weather was around 18 degrees when the event stepped off, but folks still lined up along Higgins Avenue to take in the annual attraction.
But the frigid temperatures did lay victim to some participants, with around 15 groups pulling out of the parade, including all of Missoula County Public Schools marching bands.
But, the KPAX news team still bundled up for the festivities and handed out over 25,000 pieces of homemade candy which came from the Sweet Palace in Philipsburg.
The theme of this year's parade was Sweet Home Montana, and folks donned hats and mittens, and wrapped themselves in blankets, to watch the floats and show their team spirit in Missoula.
The day ended well too, as the Griz downed Cal Poly 35-23 at Washington-Grizzly Stadium.
