Hundreds of bus drivers from across the state gathered in Great Falls today for their state convention at Montana ExpoPark.
Drivers spent the day competing on an obstacle course and learning more about safety.
Organizers and participants alike agree that the three-day event is a huge benefit to everyone on the road - especially children.
Maxine Mougeot, State Director of Pupil Transportation, explained, "The drivers need to know exactly where each part of their bus is at all times, and this obstacle course gives them a way to test their skills and knowledge. We talk to them about it and if they're not quite up to snuff, we help them get there so all our kids are 100% safe."
The event began yesterday and wraps up on Friday afternoon. Prizes will be awarded to the top five drivers.
